TABI Bursary - How to apply!

It's been a long time in the discussion stage and also held up because of a few communication blips, but here is the final document relating to the TABI Bursary.  We sincerely hope that if YOU'VE got a project that fits the criteria, you'll consider the bursary!

In 2011, The Tarot Association of The British Isles (TABI) decided to create a bursary of up to £1,000 for a Tarot-related project. We hope that this Bursary will be an annual event....


TABI Bursary – Terms and Conditions

TABI is creating a bursary of up to £1,000 for a Tarot-orientated project. We welcome applications from the world-wide Tarot community and provide the following guidelines and conditions:

1 Applicants need not be members of TABI – however, the successful applicant 
will be awarded TABI membership for the duration of the project.

2 Applicants must submit information/documentation to support application in the form of word documents, image and/or sound files. All correspondece to be via e-mail - no original work to be sent by post.

3 Amount of Bursary will be a maximum of £1,000 (applications for smaller 
increments also invited).

4 Projects currently scheduled for publication by publishing house will not be
eligible.

Conditions

*The funding offered must only be used for the purposes specified in application.

*The successful applicant will be notified by 25 July 2012.

*TABI must be acknowledged on all publicity, press and marketing material 
produced in connection with the project. Our logo will be supplied.

*Successful applicants will be awarded membership of TABI for duration of project
and will agree to post regular updates on progress (frequency of updates to be 
agreed between parties)

*All bursary monies can be withheld at the discretion of the Bursary Panel.

*Closing date for applicants for Bursary will be 1 May 2012.

* Any suitable projects received after the closing date will be held over for 
consideration in the following year's bursary - should it run.

Clear Aims and Objectives

Clearly stated experience/ability of applicant (CV/biography outlining relevant skills etc.) For example: You need not be an established Tarot author to apply for a bursary towards writing a Tarot book, but you should be able to show evidence/experience of previously published writing.

Assessment Procedures

1. Acknowledgement of receipt of application - by email.

2. Applications to be shortlisted by the bursary committee.

3 The TABI membership to vote on eligible projects for one month

4. Email of offer sent to successful applicant detailing terms, conditions and 
arrangements for payment.

5. email of acceptance from applicant.

6. Unsuccessful applicants will be informed by e-mail

Please note: The Bursary Committee are empowered by the membership to judge the suitability of any application to be shortlisted for vote by the membership and their decision in this regard is final.

* Should the award not be allocated, the monies revert to the Treasurer
